Share your mobile internet connection
It is now possible to share your mobile internet connection between several computers. Plug in your modem (Huawei E220 and many more are supported) into the Dovado UMR and you have your own wireless network.
The router has two USB ports where you plug in your modem (the second USB port is for extra power to older modems like the Huawei E220). It has four LAN ports and one WAN port (enables the router to work as a backup to an existing wired internet connection).
The Dovado UMR supports topping up by SMS, reboot and status by SMS and can even work as a remote control of your home.
Cheap customizable open source router
If you have an existing internet connection via satellite or ADSL you can share your connection with a Linksys WRT54GL router. You can also use it together with the Dovado UMR to increase your wireless network range. The Linksys WRT54GL offers outstanding performance in its price range and supports open source firmware.
The router has four LAN ports, one WAN port and a wireless connection. The router is unique in that it supports open source software – this gives you the ability to change all aspects of the router.
