29.Farmhouse Wreath St. Patrick’s Day Craft35 Last-Minute St. Patrick’s Day Decorations & Crafts (52)

Irish legend has it that a wreath means luck to the household and welcome to the visitors. Make this lovely grapevine wreath decorated with tulips and a shamrock cutout to welcome spring. Make your wreath all through the spring season by removing the shamrock after St. Patrick’s Day.

  1. Prepare the flowers. Separate the light green and white tulips, and position them around the wreath to make the best arrangement. Using tie wire or hot glue, stick the flowers to the grapevine, leaving some space at the top for the bows. Leave the bottom part bare.
  2. Prepare the accessories. Make several bows using different patterns and sizes of ribbons. Using an 8” x 8” green cardstock, cut out a shamrock outline, about ¾” thick.
  3. Assemble the wreath. Add a small string to hang the shamrock inside the wreath. Hot glue the bow at the top of the wreath and cut some ribbons off the bow. You can hot glue the ribbon to the flowers, so they don’t dangle in the center of the wreath.

30.Shamrock Pendant St. Patrick's Day Craft

35 Last-Minute St. Patrick’s Day Decorations & Crafts (53)

According to Irish legend, St. Patrick used the shamrock, a widespread plant in Ireland, to illustrate the Holy Trinity to convert nonbelievers to Christianity. Make this beautiful shamrock craft for you and for kids to wear. With just a lump of green clay and a screw eye pin hook, get ready to amp up your OOTD.

  1. Mold the clay. Make three tiny hearts and the stem, depending on the size you want. We recommend a half-inch heart, making a 1 ½” finished pendant. Put the hearts and the stem together, smoothing over the edges, so the shamrock looks seamless.
  2. Bake the pendant. Preheat your oven and bake for 30 minutes at 110°C (230°F).
  3. Decorate. Using acrylic paint, draw a cute face on the pendant and let it dry. Do the same on the other side. Apply varnish and let dry. Add the cable necklace and enjoy your new statement accessory. For a hippie look, go for a leather cord.

31.St. Patrick's Day Craft Gift Box

35 Last-Minute St. Patrick’s Day Decorations & Crafts (54)

Who would have thought matchboxes make great gift boxes? With some good cardstock and decorative paper of your choice, you can craft gift boxes to fill with chocolate coins for your little ones.

  1. Make the drawer. Cut a 5” x 7” piece from your green cardstock. Score around the card, measuring 1 ¼” on all sides. Make a small cut up to the corner where the scores meet. Glue together.
  2. Make the sleeve. Using the printed cardstock, cut a 5” x 8” piece. Score at 1 ¼”, 3 ¾”, 5”, and 7 ½”. Using double-sided tape, assemble the sleeve. Slip the drawer into the sleeve.

Decorate. Measure a 1 ½” wide strip, and wrap it around your matchbox to make a belt. Stick on a cupcake topper or a sticker to the belt using foam tape to give it more texture.
